The latest Desacralized exhibition in Milan by Galerie Philia was one among my highlights of Milan Design Week 2023. The Galeries’ curations are one of many bests I do know and all the time works with excellent and gifted artists.
Now the galerie presents its Summer time exhibition in it’s showroom in Chelsea, Manhattan. 10/7/23 – 31/8/23
Positioned within the coronary heart of the gallery district, this new group present combines a number of the most related names within the collectible design scene. Curated as a habitable house, the exhibition explores and develops the language of Galerie Philia the place natural shapes and noble supplies intertwine for a pure and minimalistic consequence.

Paris Pierre d’ici exhibition
A yr after the Design Brut venture with the first college youngsters of the Roya Valley, Galerie Philia organized the “Chantier Partagés” (shared workshops) venture with the Société du Grand Paris. The thought behind the venture is to work with a regional stone excavated from the brand new practice worksites and create collectible design works in collaboration with native youngsters.
The “Chantier Partagés” are locations of change and creation.
For a number of months, the designer Frédéric Saulou and the scholars from the center college César Franck labored collectively to change concepts and create items, through the use of the Meulière – an emblematic native stone, that was extracted from the development web site of line 18 of the Grand Paris Specific. These Shared Tasks have enabled the elaboration of a standard reflection round sustainability and the valorization of native assets. They led to the co-creation of a collective practical work carried out by skilled craftsmen.
The “Pierre d’Ici” exhibition presents the extension of this work by way of a collection of sculptural and archaic furnishings. It questions the connection between matter in house and its origin, between the earth and its extraction, within the context of the development web site of the Grand Paris Specific.
