Stir-Fried Turkey & Greens

Stir-Fried Turkey & Broccoli

We love straightforward, colourful, wholesome stir-fries. We had it on brown Basmati which cooks in about 16 minutes.

  • Methodology: Skillet
  • 1/2 cup (3.3oz, 95gr) quick-cooking brown rice or Basmati rice
  • 1 cup hen broth
  • 10oz (300gr) turkey cutlets or tenderloin, minimize into chunk measurement items
  • 1 onion, minimize in half, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbs minced ginger, minced
  • 1 rib celery, sliced
  • 1/2 inexperienced pepper, sliced
  • 1/2 head broccoli, minimize into florets with a little bit of stem
  • 1 carrot, minimize into sticks
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 tsp tbs olive oil
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup hen broth
  • 1 tbs sherry (non-compulsory)
  • 1 tbs cornstarch (Maizena) dissolved in 1 tbs soy sauce plus 1 tbs water
  • Cook dinner rice in line with package deal directions. Fluff.
  • Warmth olive oil in massive skillet over medium-high warmth.
  • Add onion, celery, to skillet and stir-fry for two minutes.
  • Add garlic, ginger, and stir-fry one other 2 minutes.
  • Take away onions/garlic from pan and put aside.
  • Add sesame oil, soy sauce to pan and warmth.
  • Add turkey and stir-fry 3 – 5 minutes, till golden.
  • Take away and put with onions.
  • Add broccoli, carrots, pepper to skillet and stir-fry 5 minutes.
  • Return turkey, onions, celery, garlic, and ginger to pan.
  • Add hen broth, sherry, and warmth to a boil.
  • Cowl, cut back warmth and simmer for five minutes.
  • Stir in cornstarch combination till thickened.
  • Serve over rice, including extra soy sauce if desired, in line with style.

Notes

Use common Basmati or your favourite rice reasonably then the brown Basmati.
Substitute hen for the turkey – or floor turkey, floor beef…

It’s rained right here for 3 days.

The rabbit holes are all stuffed with water and we have now water coming down the hill by our home in a fast-flowing stream.
