Two gifted Italians have taken over the outdated Robert area and at the moment are serving an unimaginable tasting menu – my present favourite within the metropolis. Eugenio Anfuso (beforehand at Astrance and L’Ambroisie) is creating weird and scrumptious dishes like this flippantly smoked veal tartare with peanuts and sea urchin ice cream. His companion Cecilia Spurio handles the eating room and the pastry, and we liked her caramelized sunchokes with hazelnut ice cream and occasional praline. Tasting menus are priced at 80€ et 120€. We took the bigger one and have been blown away.

IN OTHER WORDS
- Michelin (2024) “Not like lots of the different eating places within the east of Paris, this one has gone for traditional class: a refined decor, tablecloths, trendy service. Maybe that is the mark of the nice style of Italian couple Cecilia Spurio and Eugenio Anfuso, who’re acquainted with Michelin-starred eating places. Ready with small items of citrus fruit and cashew nuts, the smoked Galician veal tartare is served in a sea urchin shell, topped with a quenelle of sea urchin ice cream. For his pink mullet à la bourguignonne, the chef arranges the fish on shredded beef and cabbage leaves, the entire of which is then doused with an outstanding sauce. This can be a fashionable iteration of the French repertoire, punctuated by a couple of Italian touches or different influences from additional afield, executed with precision and a transparent penchant for acidic notes.”
