Aléa is new restaurant, tucked into the candy and sedate bottom of the Montmartre hill, that’s run by a younger couple. It feels private. Chef Léa Lestage, who beforehand labored on the three-star Epicure, is serving a market-driven menu at night time with 3-4 choices per course (starters 11-16€, mains 24-26€). After I went, that included one of the best duck dish I’ve had in years – a canard de Challans served with an indulgent potato millefeuille and a fig poached in purple wine sauce. At lunch they provide two programs for 20€ and three for twenty-four€. William Atlan, who beforehand cooked with Daniel Rose at La Bourse et la Vie, runs a flawless eating room. Advisable as one in every of our favourite eating places in Montmartre.
