One of many final exhibitions I visited in 2025 was the model new Amsterdam Ceramics An exhibition showcasing up to date ceramic initiatives by over 15 designers from my hometown. Organizers Giedre Kaziunas, ceramicist and co-founder of Swayze , and Lennard Houkes, founder and inventive director of Studio Pansa shared the idea that ceramics deserve stronger creative visibility in a metropolis full of distinctive makers. Being intently related to Amsterdam’s ceramic group, they each noticed the richness of practices and the dearth of platforms presenting ceramic work as artwork. From that place to begin they created a platform that highlights up to date ceramic initiatives, together with sculptural and purposeful items.
Set within the Bagagehal of Loods6, the occasion supplied a novel alternative to expertise the variety, craftsmanship, and creativity of Amsterdam’s ceramic group. By highlighting ceramics inside the context of design and interiors, Amsterdam Ceramics goals to ascertain itself as a significant assembly level for artists, collectors, and design professionals. I can’t anticipate the following version!!
