On Friday, February 9, Bon Appétit partnered with MGM Rewards to host a tailgate in Las Vegas that featured meals distributors from the 2 cities of the Tremendous Bowl’s competing groups—Al Pastor Papi from San Francisco and Q39 from Kansas Metropolis.
Miguel Escobedo of Al Pastor Papi, a celebrated Mexico Metropolis–type taco truck in San Francisco, introduced rooster al pastor tacos and jackfruit al pastor tacos with mango pico de gallo salsa. The meals displays his mission to carry al pastor tacos to San Francisco after learning conventional approach in Mexico Metropolis. Philip Thompson of Q39, a Kansas Metropolis–type barbecue restaurant with two areas, cooked pitmaster brisket sliders and pork spareribs with Southwest coleslaw. At Q39 they make every part from scratch, all the way down to 4 various kinds of barbecue sauce.
