This week’s publication involves you from Provence (include me by way of Instagram!). It’s my remaining analysis journey of the 12 months. In the previous few weeks, I’ve been hopping on and off trains to journey throughout France from Alsace and Nancy within the East to Lyon and the Rhone Valley within the south, Normandy within the north and the Loire Valley within the centre.
I’ve been to Versailles and Paris a number of instances looking for out what’s new and outright fabulous, and when you’d like to come back with me within the spring – be a part of me on an unique, small group, week-long tour to the center of Paris!
My analysis is for articles, and naturally I’ll be sharing them in a future situation of The Good Life France Journal. Plus I’m additionally engaged on a brand new information ebook to France which began out being 101 locations to go to however has received for much longer!
In the meantime at dwelling the cats don’t care that Christmas is coming and suppose that the little tree I’ve is a brand new toy for them – they’re fascinated by the shiny baubles and tinsel. The white peacock decoration that’s often the crowning glory has been safely stashed away – that’s simply an excessive amount of temptation for my furry household. I’m considering of hanging the tree from the beams like individuals did within the Center Ages in France, however I’m unsure if the cats will see this as a kind of ninja problem and leap up and actually swing from the rafters, which is able to make the canine go mad with envy. 7 cats a-swinging, 4 canine a-barking, 2 people shouting – it’s not a good suggestion is it… and no partridge in a pear tree!
In a number of extra days the Mayor will activate the little string of Christmas lights within the tree exterior the city corridor (we don’t do early season festive razzmatazz right here!), and all the things will begin to decelerate in my little village as winter formally begins and the intense enterprise of planning the festive meals celebrations start (I’ll inform you extra about this in subsequent week’s publication!).
I’d wish to say an unlimited, heartfelt thanks to all who’ve learn and shared the most recent The Good Life France Journal, the Winter situation and our anniversary fortieth version – your sharing it’s the greatest Christmas current I might have – thanks a lot – and likewise for all the beautiful messages you’ve shared with me about it (sure I agree, it’s a extremely pretty situation even when I do say so myself!).
I’m off to hunt for a truffle now in a forest in Provence – I want you a really bon weekend, and bisous from me and the truffle-seeking hound by my facet!
Bon weekend from magical Provence
