The unimaginable Museum on the Nationwide Library (that we visited for you) has simply opened its newest exhibition The Invention of the Renaissance – The humanist, the prince and the artist exploring humanism and the brand new method to information between the 14th and sixteenth century.
It was a time of inventive, mental and scientific effervescence… a Renaissance!

Soberly introduced in 5 sections, this new exhibition exhibits the significance of humanism from the 14th century onwards, presenting over 200 works – printed books, drawings, engravings, manuscripts, work, sculptures, cash… – taken from the huge collections of the Nationwide Library (BNF), with a number of key loans from majors Parisian cultural establishments such because the Louvre and the Jacquemart-André Museum, closed for renovation till September 2024).
You’ll see the significance of illuminated books, utilizing fashions taken from Antiquity, in addition to the tradition of letters – two methods to take inspiration from the values of Antiquity and apply them to a present inventive and mental framework.
