A l’Epi d’Or is a second spot for traditional French meals from Jean-François Piège, and about half the value of its close by sibling, La Poule au Pot. A every day two- or three-course menu (29€ or 39€) makes this an excellent deal for central Paris, and the à la carte menu incorporates kid-friendly classics like croque monsieur (16€) and hachis parmentier (24€). It’s not cheap in comparison with Bouillon République, however it’s cheap for Jean-François Piège. We love the steak tartare – served merely with recent herbs, a runny yolk, flaky salt, loads of chopped cornichons, and a aspect of crispy fries (for 20€).
