Le Cinq is a fantastic eating restaurant contained in the 4 Seasons Resort George V. It presently holds three Michelin stars and is led by chef Christian Le Squer.
Once I anonymously examined each three-star restaurant in Paris (plus a handful of two-stars) in 2014, Le Cinq was my favourite. Christian Le Squer was poached from Ledoyen with a view to win the elusive third star for Le Cinq and there was a way of urgency in his cooking. He was going for it. His least dazzling dish delighted me greater than any chunk from the underside 5 eating places.
Excessive factors included a bracing medley of marinated sea scallops, sea urchin and coral crumble – my favourite amongst greater than 200 dishes tasted throughout this analysis. To complete, he introduced a daring dessert that brilliantly straddled the road between candy and savory with flavors of contemporary milk and fermenting yeast. The precision and steadiness Le Squer maintained whereas making an attempt such provocative compositions was exceptional.
I returned for an additional meal two years later, after Le Squer had gained the third star for Le Cinq, and was equally impressed. Extremely beneficial for these on the lookout for a Michelin three-star expertise in Paris.

Evaluations for chef Christian Le Squer
Andy Hayler (2015) “In fact that is hardly low-cost, however this can be a palace resort in Paris with some top-notch components and cooking. After only a few months with the brand new group it felt to me as if the kitchen was not but utterly hitting its stride, with some completely beautiful dishes but in addition some that had been merely superb certainly. With extra time I might hope that these minor kinks might be ironed out, however this meal was already of an ordinary that will knock any multi-starred UK restaurant right into a cocked hat.”
